The Beginning:

Roger Clemens was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the first round (19th pick) of the 1983 amateur draft.

Oct. 25, 1986 - Clemens pitched in two World Series games for the Red Sox in 1986 against the New York Mets. The first was a win in Game 2, which put Boston up 2-0. Clemens next started the infamous Game 6. He was dominant in seven innings, giving up only four hits while allowing two runs, one earned.

Oct. 10th 1990 - Roger Clemens was kicked out of Game 4 of the ALCS in Oakland after arguing with home plate umpire Terry Cooney just 1 2/3 innings into the contest. The Sox were down 3-0 in the series at the time, and were swept by the A’s.
1992 - 1993

Roger Clemens went 18-11 in 1992. He struck out 208 and for the third year in a row lead the AL in ERA (2.42). In 1993 Clemens threw 191 innings. It was the first time he threw less than 200 since 1985. He went 11-14 on the season, posting a 4.46 ERA, the highest of his career.

Sept, 18, 1996 - Clemens went on to tie his own major league record with 20 strikeouts in Boston's 4-0 win over the Detroit Tigers. Ten years later, the second time around was just as dominant as the first. Roger Clemens didn’t walk a batter in either of his 20K performances. The historic performance was also Clemens' 192nd win, which tied him with Cy Young for the all-time Red Sox lead. It was the Rocket's last win in a Red Sox uniform.
Sept. 28, 1996 - Roger Clemens walks to the mound to face Andy Pettitte and the Yankees in his final start in a Red Sox uniform. In the background is a commemorative banner marking Clemens' two historic 20 strikeout games. Clemens' last start was a valiant effort. He struck out 10 Yankees, but ultimately lost the duel to good friend Andy Pettitte 4-2. He finished the 1996 season with a 10-13 record and 3.64 ERA.  Roger Clemens left Boston owning the team career records for games started (382), strikeouts (2,590), and tied with Cy Young with 192 victories.
